Telegram uptime alerts

Quick answer

StillOnline Telegram bot sends owner alerts to your personal chat when an external probe fails, recovers, or stays green for 24 hours. It is not your product’s customer-facing bot token—link your account in settings. Free enables one owner channel (email, Telegram, or Slack); Pro ($9/mo) and Ultimate ($29/mo) can use all configured channels together.

What you get (owner alerts)

EventWhen it fires
DOWNProbe fails (HTTP error, timeout, SSL issue)
RECOVEREDCheck is operational again after a failure
24h stabilityCheck stayed green for 24 hours (optional toggle)

Telegram delivers on every scheduled probe while a check is down. Email owner alerts are throttled to about 15 minutes; Telegram is not.

Setup steps

  1. Open settings — Go to Account settings → Owner notifications.
  2. Enable Telegram — Turn on Telegram alerts and pick events: down, recovered, 24h stability.
  3. Connect bot — Click Connect Telegram and approve the StillOnline bot in Telegram.
  4. Free plan — If you are on Free, set Telegram as your only owner channel (or pick email/Slack instead).
  5. Add a check — Create an HTTP check on your production health URL so probes can fail realistically.

FAQ

Do status page subscribers get Telegram messages?

No. Subscribers get email when you open or resolve an incident on the public status page. Telegram is for you (the owner).

Does StillOnline read my product’s Telegram bot token?

No. You link your user account to the StillOnline bot. Your SaaS bot is unrelated.

Can I use Telegram and Slack together?

Yes on Pro and Ultimate when both are enabled. Free allows one owner channel.

Will I get spam while a check stays down?

Telegram alerts repeat on each probe interval (e.g. every 5 minutes on Free). Use recovery + stability toggles; fix the URL or pause the check if needed.
